“IT’s scary how good his string writing is.”
-Eddie KRAMER (The Beatles, jimi hendrix, led zeppelin)
Jonathan Hull is a queer artist. A composer for film, television, theater, video games, and work in the ad space, he’s built a career around helping storytellers bring their vision to life. His debut album, The Ends of the Earth (recorded by the London Symphony Orchestra at Air Studios) will be released in 2025.
Growing up in a small, forested suburb in Virginia, Hull found solace and inspiration from the acres of seemingly unlimited woods behind his home. Even though his family wasn’t able to afford or provide opportunities for music training, Hull knew he wanted to bring his imagination to life and so in college pursued a degree in music with practically no experience or training. That intrepid spirit to forge a path has defined his career as it has blossomed into writing for a wide range of media.
After graduating with a degree in music history and world music, Hull began touring with artists like Jake Clemons and The Last Bison, ultimately working in studio with Tom Morello (Rage Against the Machine) and Eddie Kramer.
His work as a producer and songwriter led him to live theater and immersive works (The Tempest, Oliver Twist, The Jungle Book) and ultimately to film, tv, and game audio. Since he has scored projects like Glorious (starring Academy Award-winner, J.K. Simmons), Intergalactic Goodspeed (upcoming animated series), and Retail Mage, the ground-breaking video game for new video game outfit, Jam & Tea Studios.
